I even feel bad for Agent Taylor! The fact that he's still haunted by Hank Schillinger getting away with Gary's murder makes me like him, and I never thought that could happen. And, unfortunately, he's justified in feeling the way he does about Chris, as much as I like to pretend otherwise.
Man, I want to both smack and cuddle both Toby and Elliot right now. And simply cuddle Holly, obviously. I did not see her involvement in the big confrontation coming. What an impact!
I had naively been holding out hope that when Elliot found out about the physical resemblance to Chris it wasn't going to be any big deal, as Toby seemed to be at a point where he clearly (to me) was in love with Elliot as Elliott, and not a Chris substitution. But I guess the serial rapist/murderer thing was always going to be the complication that was harder to justify and explain, especially when Toby still has problems explaining it to himself.
I don't think (well, I know) I haven't told you enough times how wonderful this story and your writing is. I love how you use so many different elements (humor, angst, sex, drama, romance, kid!stuff) to provoke so many emotions, sometimes all within the the same chapter!
This has been such a fantastic roller coaster to ride, and I hope the ride starts going back up soon!
