I love love love the Beecher/Stabler fic that's out there, and I really like seeing Elliot deal with Toby being an ex-con, but Chris is always white-washed. (Which is totally fine; no story's going to deal with everything.) I wanted to write a story that didn't hold back on who Chris was, and forced Elliot to deal with it.
It's one of the things I love seeing in a crossover: when the philosophical/ethical outlooks of the shows collide.
