Ha, whereas I'm kinder to McManus. I agree he's shit at his job... and a drama queen, and a creeper, and oblivious to his own incompetence... but I think I'm willing to defend him because everyone else (both onscreen characters and fans) calls out those flaws. Sr Pete always seems to get a pass.
