Though I do also enjoy stories with CuddlyMisunderstood!Chris, what I love best are the stories that embrace the worst and still make you care about him, still make you want Toby to love him. I think that's what impressed me most about the show, that Fontana could show you the humanity in the characters without discounting their crimes.
So, *my* theory on the college boy murders... :-D They were very different from the cold kills we see on the show. For me the key is in the conversation with Ronnie, where Ronnie comments on all the drugs and college boys - Chris's behaviour while on drugs could easily be different to sober. I think that's where Chris suggests he was off the rails, and that he chose to get caught in the hold-up. He was obviously a mess, and we never see that side of him while he's safely locked up. What intrigues me is that Chris shows zero interest in drugs in Oz. He clearly enjoyed drugs, but there's no implication of addiction.
I'm so happy you're enjoying this! I'd like to say everyone wants more sex scenes, but I have often come across people who skim them. I respect diversity and all, but that's so weird to me. I want *all* of the sexual hang ups. Of which Elliot staring at that brand while trying to make with the sexy is inevitably one.
