X-Files the Musical

Having watched the first two episodes of the new season of X-Files, I was moved to re-read one of my very earliest contributions to the fanfic canon:
I really wish I'd re-read it first, because it could have set my hopes a little more realistically.
It was written seventeen years ago, and may reference some episodes you have forgotten, but I feel that it contains a staggering degree of relevance to Season Ten.
