Look, I have no plans to leave LJ. I have always found the regular flurries of 'move to dreamwidth!' drama quite irritating.

But I do have drsquidlove on DW, sitting unused. (I had a moment of panic and possessive rage when I realised the ID was taken, but then I realised I was the one who'd taken it, back in the 2011 livejournal-is-dead-sky-is-falling freak-out, so I'm okay now.) Since it's sitting there, I figure I may as well export everything over there.

For sure as long as the oz community is here, livejournal is going to be my primary home and the first place I post (nothing anytime soon, I'm afraid), but if you're friending up over there in case the livejournapocalypse does actually happen one of these times, or that's your primary space, or whatever, then there it is.

It makes me laugh that you had that moment of possessive rage because I had one, too. This is what happens when we snag accounts and never, ever do anything with them :D

Not just me, then?

I knew I had my personal blathering name over there, because I got it for the tsunami fundraising, but still have no memory of grabbing drsquidlove. I was very relieved when I saw the icon. :-D

I appreciate your effort! I know your fic is already backed up to your website and on AO3, but importing your journal to DW should also save all the comments to your stories as well as the fic itself. I know that I love reading comments (on any and all fic), and sadly, AO3 doesn't seem to be a platform where people generally leave them. It's nice to preserve that bit of history, as well.

Yeah, I like reading comments, too.

And that is one of the reasons why I'm so 'meh' about A03. Some lovely people leave awesome comments, but it doesn't seem to be the culture.

Will friend you over there (I'm sparrow2000 over there as well), but will be staying on LJ as long as most of my peeps are still here.

Nice. See, all the best people have stayed here. It's why I've never cared about moving.

Unfortunately, it looks like the Sherlock fandom is moving. Seems like I might need to log-in to both platforms, in future.

The breeding of different media accounts is getting out of hand. I hope Oz just keeps staying put.
